S.O.S. Bev Clarno OK With Solicitation Of Election Interference
Oregon Republican Sec. of State, Bev Clarno, OK With Trump Solicitation Of Foreign Interference In Oregon Elections

Recently all elected Oregon Republicans were asked, is your loyalty to President Trump OR The Rule Of Law? Oregon Republican Sec. of State, Bev Clarno, and every elected Republican in Oregon indicated that they accept but cannot defend Trump’s lawless behavior. Nevertheless, they will continue to support Trump’s values, Trump’s behavior in office, Trump’s solicitation of foreign governments interference in American elections and Trump’s reelection.
The credibly of our Oregon elections are now at risk. Republican Sec. of State, Bev Clarno, can NOT be trusted to conduct elections in our state. Governor Brown and the Democratic leadership in the Oregon House and Senate must take whatever steps are necessary to assure Oregon voters that Republican Sec. of State, Bev Clarno, with the support of her Republican colleagues, will NOT solicit NOR allow outside interference of any kind in our Oregon elections.

The impeachment train is now on a fast track. There is an increasing likelihood that Donald Trump will be impeached by Christmas. The only way Oregon Republican office holders can credibly redirect their loyalty away from Trump towards the Rule of Law is to publish newsletters to their constituents or issue Press Releases before the House impeachment vote, saying they repudiate Trump’s solicitation of foreign interference in our elections AND support the impeachment inquiry if not impeachment itself.

Federal Election Commission (FEC) chief Ellen Weintraub on Friday stated firmly that accepting any kind of "opposition research" from a foreign national or government would be considered illegal under U.S. elections law.
https://thehill.com/homenews/c...
In an appearance on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Weintraub said that the law was clear on accepting aid from foreign governments during an election, comments which followed President Trump's public call for China and Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, one of the current front-runners for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.
"The law is pretty clear,” Weintraub said “It is absolutely illegal for anyone to solicit, accept or receive anything of value from a foreign national in connection with any election in the United States."
"I don't want to comment on the specifics," she added of Trump's call for Biden to be investigated by foreign governments. "I'm just here to explain the law. That's part of my job, and I think this is a moment in America where it's really important that the American people understand what the law is."

I urge readers who are seriously interested in publicly arguing for Trump’s impeachment to read and embrace George Conway’s impressive research and defensible, persuasive reasoning.
Unfit for Office
Donald Trump’s narcissism makes it impossible for him to carry out the duties of the presidency in the way the Constitution requires.
George T. Conway [Republican Attorney] Oct 3, 2019
In a very long, comprehensive and compelling article *1, George Conway, Republican attorney and husband to Trump counselor, KellyAnne Conway, makes the case that Donald Trump must be impeached because his “narcissism and sociopathy render him unable to comply with the obligations of his office.”
“Now that the House of Representatives has embarked on an impeachment inquiry, one of the most important judgments it must make is whether any identified breaches of duty are likely to be repeated. And if a Senate trial comes to pass, that issue would become central as well to the decision to remove the president from office. That’s when Trump’s behavioral and psychological characteristics should—must—come into play. From the evidence, it appears that he simply can’t stop himself from putting his own interests above the nation’s. Any serious impeachment proceedings should consider not only the evidence and the substance of all impeachable offenses, but also the psychological factors that may be relevant to the motivations underlying those offenses. Congress should make extensive use of experts—psychologists and psychiatrists. Is Trump so narcissistic that he can’t help but use his office for his own personal ends? Is he so sociopathic that he can’t be trusted to follow, let alone faithfully execute, the law?”
“Congress should consider all this because that’s what the question of impeachment demands. But there’s another reason as well. The people have a right to know, and a need to see. Many people have watched all of Trump’s behavior, and they’ve drawn the obvious conclusion. They know something’s wrong. Others have changed the channel, or looked away, or chosen to deny what they’ve seen. But if Congress does its job and presents the evidence, those who are in denial won’t be able to ignore the problem any longer. Not only because of the evidence itself, but because Donald Trump will respond in pathological ways—and in doing so, he’ll prove the points against him in ways almost no one will be able to ignore.”

Republican defenders of Trump’s denial of Russian interference in our 2016 election and the continuing danger it poses to American elections are refuted by Senate Republican Chair and members of Intelligence Committee.
Senate Intel releases 2nd volume of report on 2016 Russian interference
By Zachary Basu Oct. 8, 2019 *2
The [Republican led] Senate Intelligence Committee released Tuesday, Oct. 8, the second volume of its report on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, which focuses on the social media disinformation campaign led by the Kremlin-backed Internet Research Agency.
The report, which provides further bipartisan evidence of Russia's election meddling in 2016 [As also extensively exposed and detailed in the Mueller Report], finds "the IRA sought to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election by harming Hillary Clinton’s chances of success and supporting Donald Trump at the direction of the Kremlin."
- It also says that the IRA's activities were "part of a broader, sophisticated, and ongoing information warfare campaign designed to sow discord in American politics and society" and that IRA activity increased, rather than decreased, after Election Day 2016.
As one of its recommendations, the committee calls on the Trump administration to "reinforce with the public the danger of attempted foreign interference in the 2020 election."
