Service Dogs Burgled From Portland Apartment: Police
Crystal Decker reported 2 service dogs stolen on Jan. 1, though she reportedly believes they were taken the night before.

PORTLAND, OR — Two service dogs were reported stolen on Monday by a couple living at the Glendoveer Heights Apartments, Portland police spokesman Sgt. Christopher Burley confirmed Tuesday morning. Several other items were also stolen, Burley said.
The burglary was reported around 10 a.m. Jan. 1, though KGW News reportedly spoke with the dogs' owner, Crystal Decker, who said the dogs were taken from their apartment at 15850 N.E. Glisan St. sometime between 3 and 11 p.m. New Year's Eve.
"It's devastating," Decker told KGW. "You don’t expect someone to come in your house and take your dogs."

Decker said she and her fiancée went away for the weekend and left the dog with roommates, KGW reported.
Decker "mentioned a dispute between ex-roommates and believed the ex-roommates may have taken the dogs," Burley told Patch in an email, adding, "The dogs were not located at the ex-roommates’ residence after police searched there."

The dogs help Decker with PTSD and anxiety, KGW reported.
"They're like my kids," Decker said. "I just want my dogs home."
