Teen Shot in Northeast Portland

Teen expected to be okay. It was the second shooting of the evening.

Portland Police are investigating two shootings Wednesday evening.

In the second - a teen was shot after he got into a dispute and fight at the Gateway Transit Station around 10:00 p.m..

The teen was shot more than once but is expected to be okay.

A resident in the 600 block on Northeast 99th Avenue told authorities a bullet had been shot into his home but no one was hit.

Two hours earlier - around 8:00 p.m. - the Portland Police Bureau's Gang Enforcement Team responded to Southeast 122nd Avenue and Powell Boulevard where they found evidence of a shooting but no victims.

There was, however, a car that had been hit by gunfire.

Several witnesses reported hearing gunfire then hearing vehicles speed away and seeing several males, possibly African American and Asian, run from the area and from the damaged vehicle.
