Three Alleged Murdering Members of Motorcycle Gang Denied Bail

They will have to stay behind bars until trial, judge rules.

Three accused members of the Gypsy Joker motorcycle gang - charged with killing a former member - will have to remain behind bars until at least the end of their trial.

Mark Dencklau, Earl Fisher, and Tiler Pribbernow are three of six people charged in connection with the murder of Robert Huggins.

Huggins's body was found dumped off logging road in Clark County in July 2015. He had been tortured and murdered.

After a three-day hearing, the judge denied their request, ruling there is a strong presumption they were involved in the murder.

Of the six - Dencklau, Fisher, and Pribbernow are the only ones in Multnomah County Jail on murder charges.

Two others - Ronald Thompson and Kendra Castle - are charged with hindering prosecution and out on bail.

The sixth person - Malachi Watkins - is also charged with murder but remains in jail in Washington State where he was arrested.

Police believe that Huggins was killed as an act of revenge for a home invasion he committed during which he tied up the girlfriend of the president of the Gypsy Jokers and held her at gunpoint.

Huggins had been kicked out of the club - and his motorcycle and truck taken by the gang - because they believed he had stolen thousands of dollars from the club to fuel his heroin habit, police say.

When his body was found, Huggins had been badly beaten, nails driven through his boots, he had been slashed, a nipple had been removed and he had a fractured skull, and several broken bones.

The trial is scheduled to begin in the fall.
