Three Men from Portland Charged with Attempted Murder in Hood River Shooting

Victim was shot in the arm.

Three men from Portland are charged with attempted murder in connection with a shooting Tuesday night near Cascade Locks in Hood River County.

The men - 20-year-old Austin Gregory Steed, 19-year-old Chance Corey Pinkard, and 21-year-old Deshone Jaheel Brooks - are charged with shooting 23-year-old Charles Kane, Jr. in the left arm.

Police say that the three men had driven from Portland to meet with Kane and another man.

Officials have not disclosed what led to the shooting.

The three are being held in the Northern Oregon Regional Correctional Facility.
