Today in Trump: Portland Businessmen Don't Support Him Despite What Campaign Says
They say their names were added to an invitation to a fundraiser without their permission.

Donald Trump's campaign has included two businessmen with ties to Portland among the hosts of a fundraiser planed for Aug. 30 in Seattle despite the fact neither gave permission — and neither is supporting Trump's candidacy.
Gordon Sondland, whose Provenance Hotels owns part of the Lucia, deLuxe, Sentinel and Westin hotels in downtown Portland, and Bashar Wali, the president of the company, are both listed among the hosts.
The invitation was first uncovered by The Seattle Times. The fact that Sondland and Wali were included without their permission was first reported by Willamette Week.

"Historically, Mr. Sondland has been supportive of the Republican party's nominees for President," Kate Buska, spokeswoman for the businessmen, told reporters Sunday.
"However, in light of Mr. Trump's treatment of the Khan family and the fact his constantly evolving positions diverge from their personal beliefs and values on so many levels, neither Mr. Sondland or Mr. Wali can support his candidacy."

An email to the Trump campaign asking for an explanation on how the businessmen ended up on the invitation has not been returned.
