Two Injured in Shooting in North Portland
Police say man shot two employees of apartment complex where he was evicted today.

North Precinct officers responded to a call early afternoon Monday about a shooting at the Cascadian Terrace Apartments, located at 5700 North Kerby Avenue. As officers were responding to the scene they learned that two people were shot by a known suspect who fled the scene.
Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the two victims, a 45-year-old male and a 64-year-old female, suffering from serious but not life-threatening injuries. Both victims were transported by ambulance to a Portland hospital for treatment.
The suspect was located in a vehicle by police at Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Winchell Street. The suspect, a male in his 60s, was taken into custody without incident. A firearm has been seized as evidence.

Preliminary information indicates that the suspect was formally evicted Monday and the victims are both employees of the apartment complex management. Assault detectives will be the lead on the investigation. There is no continued public risk as a result of this shooting.
