Uber Eats Comes to Portland

Food from 100 restaurants now just a couple of taps on your cell phone way.

If you live in Portland, your options for dinner just expanded. Uber - the increasingly ubiquitous car service - has just brought it's Uber Eats service to the Rose City.

More than 100 restaurants have signed up for the service, which allows you to have food delivered to your home.

No more waiting in line or finding your hopes dashed by not being able to get a reservation.

From Pok Pok Noi and Whiskey Soda Lounge to Deschutes Brewery and Laurelwood Public House and Habibi, all a customer has to do is head to their phone, open the app (available for iPhone and Android) and choose from the menu.

The prices are set by the restaurants and Uber adds a $3.95 delivery fee.

Uber says the average wait time is 35 minutes.
