  1. Landowners in Washington County will see their water use be subjected to regulations, as a hot, dry summer looms over the region. When water levels go down and there's not enough to go around, the Oregon Water Resources Department steps in to decide who gets how much water. (KOIN)
  2. After being closed for more than 3 years, the Eagle Creek trail is reopening. It was closed after the 2017 wildfire, caused by a teenager with some fireworks. Thanks to efforts by the Forest Service, Pacific Crest Trail Association volunteers and a contractor, it has finally been deemed safe for the public. (KXL 101)
  3. Two out-of-state lawmakers came to Oregon to criticize Portland's handling of violence. U.S. Reps Jaime Herrera Beutler of Southwest Washington and John Katko of New York, gave a press conference, placing most of the blame on defunding the police. (KATU)
  4. A nurse who works at OHSU has filed a lawsuit against the city of Portland and the police officer who arrested him last summer. Protest medic Tyler Cox claims that his constitutional rights were violated when Officer Thomas Clark tackled him to the pavement. Video evidence shows Cox walking away from officers at the time. (OPB)
  5. In the wake of the devastating heatwave, Portland Audubon has been the ‘busiest in over 30 years'. It reports that over the last several days more than 350 animals have been brought to them for treatment. That is roughly 9% of the total number of patients they usually see in a year. (KOIN.com)

  1. If you're in the mood for a night of classic cocktails and cabaret, come to the Jack London Lounge for the Jack London Burly-Q Revue. Featuring a rotating cast of incredible local talent, as well as touring performers from around the country. Buy your tickets online. Doors open at 10:30 PM.
  2. Far Out West, a Rock, Americana and Jam Band, will be playing at SE Portland brewery Ruse Brewing. Enjoy some local craft beers while listening to some awesome music! Show is from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.
  3. Tonight is the opening night for Korean artist Hyun Jung Jung's latest body of work Have You Had A Burger? The work was inspired by the mundane questions she has been asked during her years in the U.S. It is said that when asked a foolish question, it is virtuous to respond with wisdom. It's happening at the Well Well Gallery in North Portland. 6:00 - 9:00 PM
  4. There will be a free performance of Richard III in Cathedral Park this evening. The Original Practice Shakespeare Fest is proud to bring admission-free Shakespeare back to Portland Public Parks. Children, picnics and leashed pups are welcome. Show begins at 7:00 PM.
  5. For a double dose of funky craziness, check out Sweet N' Juicy at the Fruit Bowl in NE Portland. They describe themselves as "if the Talking Heads were a funk group". $10 donation at the door. Doors open at 3:00 PM.
