White House Taps Portland Executive for Trade Advisory Committee

Tamara Lundgren has been CEO of Schnitzer Steel since 2008.

The White House has tapped a Portland executive to be on its Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations.

Tamara Lundgren is the Chief Executive of Schnitzer Steel, a position she has held since 2008.

She joined the steel company in 2005.

Lundgren is also the former Chairwoman of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and a former managing director at both JPMorgan Chase and Deutsche Bank.

She was one of several people named by President Obama Thursday to a variety of posts.
