WokShop Robbed At Gunpoint Wednesday Night, Police Say

A white man in his 20s is suspected of armed robbery at the WokShop in east Portland Dec. 20.

PORTLAND, OR — A man reportedly robbed the WokShop near President James Madison High School in the Madison South neighborhood Wednesday night, threatening employees with a handgun before leaving with money.

Portland Police Bureau East Precinct officers were dispatched to the armed robbery at 2120 N.E. 82nd Ave. just after 8:30 p.m. Dec. 20, authorities said.

Employees told police "the suspect displayed a handgun while demanding money." The man left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a blue-eyed white male in his 20s, roughly 5-foot-8 with a thin build.

A search of the area did not turn up anyone matching that description, authorities said; no surveillance images were available at the time of this post.
