Woman Charged With Murder Admitted to Killing

Court documents indicate woman told a couple of different stories before admitting to what she had done.

A strip club worker facing murder charges for killing a customer, admitted to having stabbed the woman, according to court papers filed by prosecutors looking to keep her behind bars.

It was June 15th and Rinita Lowe was working at Club Skinn Gentleman's Club on Northeast 60th Avenue when she got into an argument with Shantina Turner, who was sitting at the bar. Police say that Lowe stabbed her in the neck, fled the club, and ran into a nearby 7-Eleven where there were two police officers.

Prosecutors say that Lowe originally told officers that she grabbed a knife in self-defense because she was being choked. The she said someone gave her the knife because it was clear she was afraid.

She then owned up to the knife having been hers and that she used it to stab Turner.

Witnesses told police that Turner had never attacked Lowe. The bartender - and others - told police that Lowe was the aggressor, having punched Turner and then kept swinging at her.
