3. High school football: Forest Grove, Banks win big (youroregonnews.com) — Banks' undefeated football team is gearing up to host Tillamook on October 8, part of a tough four-game stretch that also includes Scappoose, Seaside, and Taft. 4. Report: Oregon coast ripe for native shellfish, seaweed ventures (statenews.net) — A new study finds Oregon's coast, including waters near Tillamook Bay, is well-suited for expanding native shellfish and seaweed farming that could boost local ecosystems and coastal economies. The Nature Conservancy is already partnering with an oyster farm in nearby Netarts Bay to grow native Olympia oysters, and early results show the new population is thriving.
