‘Boeckman Dip’ Bridge Gets Open House Date

The Urban Renewal Agency will host the mid-January meeting to seek input from the community regarding the prospective increase in city debt.

From City of Wilsonville: The City of Wilsonville Urban Renewal Agency is hosting an open house event on Wednesday, Jan. 17, from 5 to 7 p.m. at City Hall, 29799 S.W. Town Center Loop East, to present on a proposed Year 2000 Urban Renewal Plan amendment.

The City’s Urban Renewal Agency seeks to increase the plan’s maximum indebtedness by $14.5 million to help finance the ‘Boeckman Dip’ Bridge, a major transportation project located on Boeckman Road just east of Canyon Creek Road.

The proposed project upgrades a section of Boeckman Road that crosses Boeckman Creek to urban-design standards and to serve all travel modes.

Today, the steep vertical curves and narrow width present safety concerns due to limited site-distance and incomplete bike and pedestrian facilities. The bridge becomes more important community connection as the Frog Pond area develops.
