Wilsonville To Host Hiring Fair May 20
The city has 11 jobs up for grabs, and if interviews and background checks go well, an applicant could be offered a job the same day.

WILSONVILLE, OR — Looking for a job? The City of Wilsonville may have something for you.
From 7:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 20, Wilsonville city officials are hosting a Hiring Fair at Wilsonville City Hall, 29799 S.W. Town Center Loop East. Attendees will fill out applications, which city officials will review right there, then be seen for interviews if their application passes the screening/review process.
According to a city statement, officials plan to offer second interviews during the Hiring Fair and could even make official job offers before the event concludes.

The city seeks to fill 11 positions, which include:
- Seasonal Utility Worker — seven full-time but temporary positions;
- Part-Time Transit Driver — two benefited positions for 25-plus hours per week; and
- Utilities Maintenance Specialist — two full-time positions available in the "roads division."
Applicants must be 18 years old and have a GED or High School Diploma. Additionally, prospective applicants should bring to the Hiring Fair a valid driver's license or other form of identification, which includes a passport, and a résumé.

Jobs are available on a fort-come, first-serve basis, officials said, adding that applicants should consider arriving early. Also, job offers are contingent on a background check (including driving record) and a drug screening.
