Wilsonville Releases Annual Water Quality Report
For the fifteenth consecutive year, Wilsonville's water exceeds federal and state drinking water standards, the report shows.

WILSONVILLE, OR — City officials on Wednesday released the 2017 Annual Water Quality Report for Wilsonville's water system and Willamette River Water Treatment Plant, showing no risks to the city's drinking water.
According to the report, only 11 contaminants (out of 86 regulated drinking water contaminants) were found, and none came remotely close to the maximum contaminant level allowed by the Environmental Protection Agency. In fact, the report's authors state that every water quality review since 2002 — when the treatment plant was made operational — shows Wilsonville's water as exceeding all federal and state drinking water standards.
"For the fifteenth year in a row since the treatment plant went online, the city's water quality continues to meet and exceed all regulatory drinking water standards," Public Works Director Delora Kerber said in a statement. "The results published in this report continue to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality drinking water to our consumers."

Additionally, the 2017 report (which reflects testing and monitoring performed in 2016) includes data collected from lead testing performed in 2015. For that round of tests city officials visited 33 homes built between 1983 and 1987 and found no lead levels above the allowable threshold.

The (lead) testing found that no corrective action was necessary and that none of the drinking water in the homes exceeded the EPA’s Action Level (AL) of 0.015 milligrams per liter.
Four of the 33 homes tested had very low levels of lead with a 90th percentile value of 0.002 milligrams per liter, which is 7.5 times lower than the EPA's Action Level.
The water quality report is required by the 1996 Safe Drinking Water Act and must be distributed by July 1.
Copies of the 2017 Annual Water Quality Report are available at City Hall, the library, and online at the city’s website. Copies can also be mailed upon request.
