Wilsonville Republican Considering Statewide Office

Representative John Davis, who represents Wilsonville, announced last week he would not seek re-election. It appears we may now know why.

John Davis, who is a fourth-generation Oregonian, has spent most of his life in Washington and Clackamas Counties, both as a resident and a state representative.

It looks like he is considering expanding his view of the state.

Last week, on the final day of the legislative session, he announced from the House floor that he would not seek re-election.

It turns out he is considering running for the Republican nomination to challenge Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum.

While he has not announced, the deadline to file is the end of the day Tuesday, March 8.

In addition to Wilsonville, Davis represents parts of Beaverton, Hillsboro, Aloha, Sherwood, King City, and Bull Mountain.
