Wilsonville Schedules Hearing on Water Treatment Plant Update
As the need for water grows, Wilsonville, Hillsboro, Beaverton and the Tualatin Valley Water District prepare for the future.

Water, water everywhere and Wilsonville, Hillsboro, and Beaverton want to make sure their residents have enough to drink. The cities, along with the Tualatin Valley Water District, are working to make sure that the Willamette River Water Treatment Plant is set to meet long range water needs.
With the region's population growing, the cities and water district have been working to update the master plan for the plant and evaluating whether additional facilities are needed to handle the increased capacity.
The region is expected to need 150 million gallons per day.

Wilsonville, which is home to the plant, has been holding hearings on the plan. The city's planning commission will hold a formal hearing on the plan at their meeting on February 8. The public will be allowed to comment there.
The Wilsonville City Council will then consider the plan at a meeting in late February or early March.
