Wilsonville Seeks to Limit Semi-Trucks on Wilsonville Road

The move would limit their ability to use an eastern part of the road.

The City of Wilsonville is considering limitations on the ability of semi-trucks to use part of Wilsonville Road. The city would designate part of it a "Restricted Truck Zone."

The move would prohibit semi-trucks from an eastern segment of Wilsonville Road between Town Center Loop East and Boeckman Road.

The restriction would prevent semi-trucks from using the road as a cut-through alternative to the freeway. Trucks making local deliveries would still be allowed on the road.

City officials say the restriction in response to concerns over noise, safety, and vibrations caused by the large freight trucks.
