Wilsonville Wants Input on Planned Recreation and Aquatic Center
The city has an event planned to let you know what's in the works and get your input.

Wilsonville is planning a recreation and aquatic center for the city and wants the input of its citizens.
Based on feedback they have already received, the city is planning a ballot measure for the November election that would create a $30 million, 20-year capital bond that would fund design and construction of the center.
The facility would be approximately 80,000 square feet and include a variety of amenities including a warm-water pool suitable for water exercise activities and therapy classes, an indoor 25-yard six lane lap pool, a 6,00 square foot leisure pool with a slide and lazy river along with whirlpool spa.

The year-round facility would also have a fitness center, indoor walking track, rock-climbing walls, and a large multi-purpose room for community meetings.
If the bond measure is approved, a home with an assessed value of $300,00 would see a property tax increase of about $19 a month.
