Couple Shot, Dismembered By Daughter In Montco Home: Authorities
Authorities said Reid and Miriam Beck were found with single gunshots to their heads and dismembered in their home by police Tuesday night.
JENKINTOWN, PA — First-degree murder charges have been filed against a woman who is accused of killing and dismembering her parents in Jenkintown.
Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele said Verity Beck, 43, of Rydal, has been charged with first- and third-degree murder in connection with the deaths of her parents.
Reid Beck, 73, and Miriam Beck, 72, were found dead in their home on the 1100 block of Beverly Road Tuesday night during a wellness check after their son had not heard from them since Jan. 7, authorities said.

Steele said the couple were shot in the head at a close range sometime between Jan. 7 and Tuesday.
The couple were also found to be in stages of dismemberment.

Steele said a chainsaw was found near one of the bodies and that several firearms were found in the home.
Verity Beck lived at the home with her parents, authorities said.
Authorities are working to determine a motive in the killings.
