2 New School Resource Officers Named In Abington
Abington Township Police said the two police officers are veterans of the force.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The Abington Township Police Department has named two from its force to serve as school resource officers for the 2024-2025 school year.
Abington Police said that Police Officers Dustin Wittmer and Drew Saurman are both excited to take on their new roles.
"They will be teaming up with school staff to provide a safe learning environment while building positive connections with students, police said.

Wittmer is a 15-year veteran of the police department.
He served as the temporary SRO for the second half of last school year. He also serves on the police honor guard unit and was a field training officer.

Wittmer is assigned to Abington High School.
Saurman is an 11-year veteran of the Police Department. He also serves on the SWAT team and is a DARE instructor.
Saurman is assigned to Abington Middle School.
