ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Abington School District Board of Directors this week unanimously approved the 2023-24 school year calendar at its meeting earlier this.
The next year will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 5 and Wednesday, Sept. 6 for students.
Students in Kindergarten through sixth grade, as well as ninth grade students, will begin Sept. 5.

Seventh and eighth graders, along with 10th through 12th graders, are starting on Sept. 6.
Notable days off for students are Monday, Sept. 25 in observance of Yom Kippur, Nov. 23 and Nov. 25 for Thanksgiving, Dec. 25 through Jan. 1, 2024 for winter break, Jan. 15, 2024 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and Feb. 19, 2024 for Presidents' Day.

The last day of school is Thursday, June 13, 2024.
That day, all schools will dismiss early.
The calendar has a total of 191 teacher days and 184 student days.
