2023 Budget To Be Voted On Thursday In Abington

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Officials in Abington Township will decide on the 2023 budget Thursday night.

The Abington Township Board of Commissioners at 7 p.m. Thursday will hold a public hearing on the 2023 budget.

Should the budget pass, it would mean no new real estate tax increases for residents.

The 2023 budget maintains the 2022 millage rate — 5.922 mills.

At the proposed tax rate of 5.922 mills, the average township taxpayer will pay $888.27 in township property taxes.

Additionally, wastewater and refuse fees are the same as 2022.

General fund revenues and expenditures are balanced in the new budget, according to the township.

Revenues and expenditures are $44,022,702.

Public comment is welcome at the meeting.

The meeting is taking place in the Abington Township Board Room, 1176 Old York Road.
