4 New Police Officers Join Abington Police Department

The department said its newest officers are Muhammad Ahmad, Gage Cappello, Ryan Galiczynski and Michael Sweeney.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Four new officers have joined the Abington Township Police Department.

The department said its newest officers are Muhammad Ahmad, Gage Cappello, Ryan Galiczynski and Michael Sweeney.

Ahmad is a graduate of Bensalem High School who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Temple University.

Cappello graduated from Neshaminy High School and served as a Philadelphia Police Officer since 2017.

Galiczynski is a graduate of Father Judge High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Widener University.

Sweeney graduated from William Tennent High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Temple University, and also served as a police officer with the Prince William County Police Department in Woodbridge, Virginia since 2022.
