$58K Raised In AbingThon By High School Seniors
Proceeds from the Abington High School event will go toward area pediatric cancer organizations.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The mini-thon turned out to be a major fundraiser.
The Abington Township School District congratulated high school seniors and staff who recently raised $58,529.52 for area pediatric cancer organizations at AbingTHON.
The school district especially thanked Abington alumni Eric Dixon and Lucas Monroe, who came back to offer their support and participate in activities with students.

In other school district news:
- The Abington Senior High Chess team finished in the top three in all three divisions at the State Tournament in Harrisburg. The following players were recognized for their outstanding achievements: Sofi Ebora, Nathan Sharp, Camilo Zapata, Eli Kleiman, Noah Hellerslia, Kareem Trickey, Nathan Schneider, Alex Jazexhiu, Joseph Clark, Andria Hatton, and Isabelle Fielder.
- Roslyn celebrated Pi Day (March 14) with their annual “Pie the Principal” fundraiser. Proceeds benefited 5th grade end-of-year activities. Duncan Manners, the grand prize winner, pied Dr. Osborne, and teachers Mrs. Oman and Mr. Staszkiw were pied by students in their classes.
- McKinley 4th graders completed a virtual biography book report project. The students will be traveling around their grade level classrooms to view each other's displays, which will include a QR code they can scan to view each student's virtual presentation.
- The McKinley Boys Running Club was visited by representatives from the Phillies Phitness program last week! The club participated in some of the same exercises as Phillies players, and heard important messages about nutrition and the importance of eating healthy food.
