The Abington Senior High School Class of 2023 had their commencement last week, with 628 earning their high school diplomas.
ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Several hundred students from Abington Senior High School earned their high school diplomas last week.
The Abington Senior High School held the commencement of the Class of 2023 on Wednesday, June 7 at Schwarzman Stadium.
In total, 628 students graduated.

This year's Valedictorian was Jeremy Slotter, and the Salutatorian was Darren Mo, both of whom gave speeches, in addition to the class speakers who were selected by a vote of their peers, Emma Brown and Romina Farzaneh.
Principal Angelo Berrios, Superintendent Jeffrey Fecher, and Board President Shameeka Browne also provided remarks to the graduates and their invited guests.

Of the 628 graduates, more than 77 percent will pursue higher education, 21 percent will seek employment–including those going into apprenticeships–and 2 percent will enter the U.S. Military.
The Class of 2023 collectively amassed an impressive $8.8 million in scholarships, including several students who are receiving Armed Forces ROTC scholarships.
