8 More Victims Come Forward In Montco Sexual Assault Case
Police said a follow-up investigation identified eight additional underaged female victims after a March arrest in Abington.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — An Ambler man faces additional charges after eight more underaged female victims have come forward allegedly they were solicited sexually by him, police said.
In December, the Abington Police Department received information that a man was soliciting an underaged girl for sexual acts and nude/sexually explicit photos and videos in the township's Willow Grove section.
Deron Thach, 38, is now charged with 161 felony counts and 16 misdemeanor counts. He was arraigned on Wednesday with bail set at $1 million.

On March 6, 2026 a search warrant was executed at Thach’s apartment in Ambler, Pa. Digital evidence was seized and analyzed for Child Sexual Assault Material (CSAM) as well as other evidence of his crimes.
Based on the findings of this analysis, a warrant was issued for Deren Thach charging him with several counts of Sexual Abuse of Children as well as Corruption of Minors, and Unlawful Contact with a minor, all felony offenses.

On March 12, Thach turned himself into the Abington Township Police Department and was arraigned by District Justice Jodi Griffis who set bail at $1 million.
Following that arrest, the continuing investigation resulted in the identification of eight additional minor victims.
On Tuesday, Thach was arrested at his home in the Ambler section of Lower Gwynedd Township.
He was charged with numerous violations of the Pennsylvania Crimes Code, including the felony offenses of Rape, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, Corruption of Minors, Sexual Abuse of Children/Possessing Child Sexual Assault Material, Statutory Sexual Assault, Indecent Assault, and Trafficking in Individuals.
