'Abandoned, Filthy, Flea Infested' Wyncote Pup Gets Cleaned Up, Looks For New Home
This little guy was abandoned on the side of the turnpike. Now he needs a new home.
A small Shi Tzu dog was fond wandering in traffic at a busy intersection near the Pennsylvania Turnpike recently.
He was filthy, flea infested, and his hair was matted, caretakers report.
His owners were found, but they did not want to take Maverick back.

He was cleaned up, given love, and placed in a foster home in Wyncote. He now has learned basic commands, is housebroken, crate trained, and gets along great with dogs, cats, and children.
Maverick has also been neutered and vaccinated.
