Abington High Principal Leaving For New District After 20-Plus Years
After more than 20 years at Abington Senior High School, Principal Angelo Berrios is leaving to serve as a superintendent in Bucks County.
ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Abington Senior High School's principal will be leaving his position after more than two decades.
The Abington School District Board of School Directors last week approved Principal Angelo Berrios' resignation.
Berrios' resignation is effective Oct. 27.

According to Superintendent Jeffrey Fecher, Berrios will be heading to Pennridge School District to serve as superintendent.
"We thank him for his years of service as a school leader, social studies teacher, mentor, and colleague," Fecher said.

Fecher said the district is working with the Montgomery County Intermediate Until to find a new principal for the high school.
This will "ensure a broad and diverse candidate pool," he said.
"The candidate search has already begun, and is expected to continue over the next several weeks," Fecher said. "Dr. Melchor, Assistant Superintendent, and I will work closely with the current assistant principals during the transition until the successful candidate is able to begin their employment with the Abington School District."
