Abington HS Recognized on AP District Honor Roll

Congratulations to Abington High School!

ABINGTON, PA -- Abington School District staff and families have something to celebrate Wednesday, as the high school has been named to the College Board's AP District Honor Roll.

The honor recognizes the school's increasing access to advanced placement courses and students' high scores on AP Exams, the district said.

The recognition was based on data from 2014 to 2016.

In 2016, the district said that 425 students completed at least one AP test. A total of 1,128 AP exams were taken. Of those, 84 percent of students scored at least a "3," the minimum to earn college credits.

Abington is one of 433 schools across the nation to be honored with AP District Honor Roll status.
