Abington Man To Help Lead Aviation At Urban Engineers
An Abington man has been promoted to an important role in the aviation division of a local engineering firm.

ABINGTON, PA -- Abington resident Dale Russell, PE, has been promoted to deputy practice leader in the firm’s aviation division. In his new role, Mr. Russell will lead aviation efforts in northeastern and southeastern Pennsylvania, eastern New York, New Jersey, and New England.
“Since joining Urban’s aviation group, Dale has become an invaluable asset to leading projects and delivering a high level of quality services to our clients,” said Christopher Gubeno, PE, a vice president and general manager of Urban’s aviation and site design practices. “His promotion represents the growth of our department and recognition of his leadership capabilities.”

Mr. Russell has been in Urban’s aviation department in Philadelphia since 2009, after previously serving in the firm’s highways department. A graduate of Queen’s University of Kingston, he has led design efforts at Bradley International Airport in Connecticut including a new terminal, a new consolidated rental car facility, an existing terminal demolition, and various airport roadway relocation projects.
At Trenton-Mercer Airport in New Jersey, Mr. Russell leads on-call efforts that include planning, design, and construction in support of a master plan update.
