Unsure of how to proceed, the family called Abington Detectives and got Detective Don Lindenmuth on the phone.
Lindenmuth immediately obtained the address of the man who had brought Prada in for treatment and drove out to the man's Abington home, police said.
He took possession of the dog, which the man said he found in Philadelphia. Lindenmuth then called the family and let them know that he had found Prada and that he was safe at the police station.
The now elated family drove immediately to the APD detective division and were all smiles after being reunited with Prada.
"Great work Detective Lindenmuth for going above and beyond," police said.
