Abington Police Reports — 5/17
The following police reports were taken from the Abington Police records room May 16.

DUI … Matthew Britt, 43, of the 1400 block of Holcomb Road, Huntingdon Valley, was arrested March 5 at 12:05 a.m. following a traffic stop near the corner of Stanley and Mount Carmel avenues for speeding and not using his turn signal, police said. According to police, Britt apologized for “going a little fast.” Britt smelled of alcohol, had glassy eyes, failed four field sobriety tests, and had a blood alcohol content of 0.126 percent.
DUI … Meagan Ward, 25, of the unit block of Twining Bridge Road, Newtown, was arrested March 5 at 1:43 a.m. following a traffic stop for not using a turn signal and for drifting to the left 15 times near the intersection of Easton and Bradfield roads, police said. According to police, Ward failed four field sobriety tests, smelled of alcohol, and had a blood alcohol content of 0.115 percent.
DUI … Andre Ruchelli, 25, of the 700 block of Falcon Drive, Glenside, was arrested March 10 at 12:36 a.m. following a traffic stop near the corner of Old Welsh and Rockwell roads after he was seen driving without a front passenger-side tire on Old York Road, police said. According to police, Ruchelli failed three field sobriety tests and had a pen sleeve with white powder residue in his possession. Following a search of his vehicle, police found a marijuana grinder in the glove box, a silver container with confirmed marijuana, a pill grinder and a pipe. Ruchelli’s blood tested positive for the presence of several drugs, including theobromine, zaleplon, alprazolam and delta-9 carboxy. As for the tire, Ruchelli said he hit a curb somewhere on Easton Road.

DUI … Mark A. Oates, 34, of the unit block of Summerfield Road, Woodlawn, MD, was arrested April 9 at 1:54 a.m. following a traffic stop near the corner of Easton and Bradfield roads for not using a turn signal, police said. According to police, Oates smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes, and said that he had “a few” drinks. Oates was driving with a DUI-related suspended Pennsylvania driver’s license and an expired Delaware license. Oates, who had a blood alcohol content of 0.168 percent, had two DUI convictions in 2008 in Pennsylvania.
Possession of a small amount of marijuana … Sumiala Alieu Squire, 18, of the 1200 block of Huntingdon Road, Abington; and Solomon James Squire, 22, of the 1200 block of Huntingdon Road, Abington, were arrested April 22 at 10 p.m. following a traffic stop for having a malfunctioning brake light near the corner of Limekiln Pike and Roosevelt Avenue in Cheltenham, police said. According to police, the vehicle smelled of marijuana, and there was a bag of confirmed marijuana in the driver’s side door and a partially burnt roach in the rear driver’s side door, police said.
