Abington Police Warn Of New Crime Trend: More Aggressive Car Thieves

ABINGTON, PA — Police in Abington Township are warning about a new type of crime spreading across the area.

Car thieves have recently not restricted their crime to cars with unlocked doors, police report.

They have been going a step farther in Abington and in the nearby area, smashing windows in order to get to expensive personal belongings that are often left out in plain sight on seats.

Police urge residents to keep valuables in the truck or out of sight in the car.
