Abington To Receive $812K From State For Old York Road Intersection

The state is funding the improvement of the intersection of Old York Road and Susquehanna Road in Abington to the tune of $812,486.

Governor Wolf has announced a series of investments to support statewide economic development and infrastructure efforts, and several projects in the local area will be impacted.

The projects are funded through the state's Commonwealth Financing Authority, which approved 418 projects totaling $152,414,748 of support on July 1.

“The projects approved today through the Commonwealth Financing Authority are critical to the economic vitality of the state,” Governor Wolf said in a statement. “These impactful investments will support significant community and economic improvements and spark revitalization in Pennsylvania’s communities.”

The state is funding the improvement of the intersection of Old York Road and Susquehanna Road in Abington to the tune of $812,486.

Abington Memorial Hospital will also get $51,730 for to improve "safe multimodal transportation" in the area.
