Abington Robbery Suspect Arrested in Warminster: Cops

ABINGTON, PA -- Police announced Wednesday that they have arrested a suspect in the armed robbery of a TD Bank in Abington last week.

Mario Calderon, 43, was arrested without incident on Fir Street in Warminster, police said.

Calderon has no permanent address, authorities said, but is from Mexico and has been deported twice.

Police said that Calderon entered the TD Bank last Friday, January 20, at 5:20 p.m.

He presented a demand note to the teller stating that "this is an armed robbery" and handed her a bag, according to authorities.

Calderon never actually displayed a weapon during the robbery.

He is being charged with robbery and related counts.
