Abington Seeks $650K In Hurricane Ida Funds
Abington Township will hold a public hearing on Tuesday to discuss an application for the disaster recovery funds.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The township will hold a public hearing on Tuesday to discuss an application for the Hurricane Ida Community Development Block Grant.
Township officials said the hearing will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
The hearing is slated to present an application for $650,000 from the Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Program.

The money is broken up with $350,000 for Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation and $300,000 to install stormwater infrastructure.
The township intends to apply for the DCED grant on or before Aug. 23, officials said.

A resolution to authorize the submission of the application will be submitted for consideration to the township’s Board of Commissioners at its Aug. 8 meeting at 7 p.m.
