Abington SHS Students Place at FBLA National Conference

The state champions attended the conference in Florida to compete nationally.

Abington Senior High School sent one of the largest groups of students to the Future Business Leaders of America’s (FBLA) annual national conference in Orlando, Fla. in early July. All the students who attended the conference were state champions in their respective events.

The student competitors were: Max Breitkreutz, Tyler Jablonowski and Josh Zlotnick (in the area of global business); Chris Brown, Jon Fry and Jon Williams (in the area of network design); Kevin Chen, Vince Tranquillo, Chris Finestone and Susie Heilman (in the area of computer game design); and Mike Wermuth (in the area of desktop application programming).

In the area of computer game design, the team of Finestone and Heilman placed third in the nation; the team of Chen and Tranquillo placed fourth in the nation.

In the area of network design, the team of Brown, Williams and Fry placed seventh in the nation.
