Abington Teacher Charged For Sexual Contact With Student: School
A teacher at Abington Senior High School has been charged after he had sexual contact with a student, the district said.
ABINGTON, PA — A teacher at Abington Senior High School has been charged after he had sexual contact with a student, the district said.
Thomas Kummer, who teaches Latin, faces counts of corruption of a minor, according to police.
Details of the incident were not available early Monday. Kummer has been suspended by the district as the investigation gets underway.

"The safety of our students and staff is of the utmost importance," Assistant Superintendent Jeffrey Fecher wrote in a statement sent out to district parents.
