Abington Township Commissioner Resigns
The township is seeking a replacement for Ward 13 Commissioner Bill Bole, whose resignation is effective on March 31.
ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — There is going to be a change on the 15-member Abington Township Board of Commissioners.
At its meeting on Thursday, the board accepted the resignation of Commissioner Bill Bole, effective March 31.
No reason was given by township officials for Bole's resignation.

The commissioners will now seek a replacement for Bole.
The township is accepting letters of interest for filling the vacancy on the Board of Commissioners for the seat of Ward 13 Commissioner.

Eligible applicants must be a resident of the Ward for at least one year continuously prior to the appointment and must be a registered voter in the Ward.
Eligible applicants must not have been convicted or pled guilty or no contest to any felony charge within three years of the appointment
.Any interested and qualified person shall submit a letter of interest and resume or curriculum vitae online at www.abingtonpa.gov/BOCapplication or by mail to 1176 Old York Road, Abington, PA, 19001, to the attention of Theresa Castorina, Assistant to the Township Manager.
Applications will be accepted until end of business day, Friday, March 27.
Consideration of appointment is tentatively scheduled at the Board of Commissioners' regular public meeting on April 16 at 7 p.m.
