Abington's Average SAT Scores Competitive In Montgomery County

The Pennsylvania Department of Education released the average 2016 SAT scores for schools statewide, and Abington fared very well.
Their average of 1571 landed them just outside of the top 10 scores in Montgomery County.
The Reading average was 521, the Math average was 541, and the writing average was 509.

A total of 439 students were tested throughout the year.
In Montgomery County, Lower Merion and Harriton led the way, with average scores of 1766 and 1754, respectively.

The top school in the Philadelphia area - and in the entire state - was Julia Masterman High School in the city, with an average of 1978. The top public high school was Conestoga, averaging 1795.
