CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — They gathered to clean up their township.
The township recently held Cleanup Day 2026, as 138 volunteers registered for the event.
They scoured the streets, seeking garbage at 17 locations throughout the day.
Their efforts were impressive: 167 bags of trash, four tires, one wooden door, one box of computer parts, over 10 voting signs, car parts, two toilets, one bird bath, one beach chair, and metal from fencing, a trampoline, a mattress, a swing set, and a glider chair.
"We had perfect weather for this cleanup day," officials said. Thank you to everyone who took two hours out of their Saturday to keep Cheltenham beautiful. We look forward to making this an annual Earth Month event."
