CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — The township is seeking experienced candidates for its next township manager.
Cheltenham is being assisted in its township manager search by The Meyner Center for the Study of State and Local Government at Lafayette College.
The center describes Cheltenham Township as a diverse, historic community of 37,452 residents — Philadelphia's first suburb — governed by a Home Rule Charter and a seven-member Board of Commissioners.
With an all-funds budget of $68 million, nine departments, and about 300 employees, the township manager post is a high-visibility, high-impact leadership opportunity, the center stated.
The incoming manager arrives at a pivotal moment — with a $100 million facilities initiative on the horizon, three collective bargaining agreements requiring immediate attention, and a Board aligned around strategic progress.
The salary range for the position is between $205,000 and $265,000.
The application deadline is at noon on Friday, May 29.
