CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Monday night's storm caused flash flooding throughout the township, fire officials said.
The Cheltenham Fire Company said crews had "an incredibly busy and dangerous evening" on Monday following the severe, torrential rainstorms that rolled through Montgomery County.
As flash flooding rapidly took over localized areas, the Cheltenham Fire Company was dispatched to multiple emergencies
Fire officials closed several roads quickly due to rising water and hazardous conditions.
Fire officials said residents should obey all emergency cones and barricades and not try to go around them on a closed road.
The fire company reminds residents that storms like Monday night can bring low visibility and water levels around 6 inches, causing drivers to lose control of their vehicles.
