ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Several eastern Montgomery County fire companies battled a blaze that damaged a home early on Monday morning.
At 3:43 a.m. Monday morning, the Edge Hill Fire Company was dispatched to the area of Garfield Avenue and Jefferson Avenue for a report of visible flames coming from the windows of a home.
Fire crews found significant fire conditions and conducted an aggressive attack to bring the fire under control.
Firefighters knocked down the bulk of the fire through a window before advancing into the home to extinguish the fire.
The Edge Hill Fire Company was joined by the Weldon Fire Company, McKinley Fire Company, and the Jenkintown Volunteer Fire Department.
The Abington Township Fire Marshal's Office and the Second Alarmer's Association and Rescue Squad of Montgomery County were also on the scene.
