Transportation Upgrades Coming In Eastern Montco

Three communities are getting state grants for transportation projects that will replace a bridge and repair streets.

EASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Three communities are getting state grants for transportation projects that will replace a bridge and repair streets.

The towns are among 50 projects statewide in 27 counties getting $54 million through the Multimodal Transportation Fund.

The projects will improve safety, strengthen local economies, and enhance mobility across the Commonwealth.

Since taking office, the Shapiro Administration has delivered $197 million, providing financial assistance to municipalities, councils of governments, businesses, economic development organizations, public transportation agencies, and ports and rail freight entities to strengthen communities, pedestrian safety, and transit revitalization.

The 2026-27 budget signed by Gov. Shapiro allocates $775 million over the next two fiscal years for shovel-ready projects to repair state-owned roads across Pennsylvania.

Under the Shapiro Administration, 20,538 road miles have been improved statewide and work has advanced on 1,898 state and local bridges.
