Pool Survey Underway In Abington Township

The township seeks community input on a feasibility study involving two Abington pools.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The township is asking residents for community input on a pool feasibility study for the Crestmont and Penbryn pools.

Township officials said the study will provide a plan to modernize facilities in response to the findings of the 2018 pool study which found that they are past their expected life span and cannot be renovated.

The deadline for residents to take the survey is on Friday.

The study kicked off in March 2026 and is expected to be completed in November 2026.

It will engage residents on the future of the pool systems while providing needed planning, site design and financial analysis.

The study will also align with the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCNR) Pool Feasibility Scope of Work to enable the Township to apply for DCNR grants for any construction efforts.

This opinion survey is a vital part of the planning process and will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.

The survey asks residents to consider existing strengths and future opportunities for the township's pool needs and provide feedback on several conceptual designs for the pools and the parks they occupy.
