High Temperatures Prompt Early Dismissal At Cheltenham High

CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — The Cheltenham School District has dismissed high school students early on Tuesday due to high temperatures.

The school district dismissed students at noon on Tuesday due to a heat advisory in the region and high temperatures within the high school building.

School officials said the high temperatures have made classrooms and common areas unsuitable for students and staff.

All athletic practices, club and activity meetings, home and away competitions, open workouts, and other scheduled after-school programming are also canceled.

Additionally, all evening activities are canceled, including color guard/pep band practice, officials said.
