New Administrator Named In Cheltenham School District

CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Rachel Girman has been named Cheltenham School District's Director of Teaching and Learning pending board approval.

With nearly two decades of experience as a teacher and educational administrator, Girman's appointment will be voted on at the Cheltenham Board of School Directors at the October legislative board meeting.

School officials said that Girman brings a wealth of experience in instructional leadership, educational innovation, and collaborative curriculum design.

Girman will oversee curriculum development, instructional strategy, and professional development across the institution to foster learning environments that support student achievement and educator growth.

School officials said Girman will work closely with school administrators, department heads, and teachers to align learning goals, refine assessment systems, and design tailored professional learning initiatives.

Girman has served as the supervisor of secondary curriculum at Cheltenham since 2023 and also serves as an adjunct professor at Moravian University.

Girman was also a high school English teacher for 14 years.

A resident of Ambler, Girman earned her doctorate in transformational leadership this summer from Moravian University.

She received her master's degree in curriculum and instruction from Penn State University. She was an English and comparative literature double major as an undergraduate at Penn State University. She also earned an education technology certificate from Boise State University.
